Thoughts on Skagen Watches

Before I was into watches I bought my wife a Skagen. It was a bit disappointing as it seemed to need a new battery every couple monthsm Now that I have been going down the rabbit hole of watches for the past 4 years I have mostly steered away from fashion brands but I have to admit that the clean simple design of Skagen Watches has me checking them out once in a while. Any fans of the brand? Any iconic models I should consider in the future?

I have one Skagen that I bought for 15€ on a flea market.

Lovely dial and very thin case. My only minus is the strap chance.

I have a couple. I love their aesthetic and bought them prior to this hobby. I thought they were lost but just found them recently.

I got my wife one, after a two years the indices detached from the dial. Not a good experience….

I like this one Skagen skw6076, but don't own it. Not sure about the quality either, and would probably purchase it if it was solar powered (perpetual calendar would also be a must). Having said this, I'll probably buy it someday as another "farm beater", because I really like how it looks.

Edit - and of course, I have a spot for another chronograph... 😂

Owned two in the 2010s. A gateway for me into nicer watches. From asthetic perspective they’re nice, especially if you like slim design or have small wrists. Been a long time since I looked at one closely. Probably still decent for the price.

I had one, a quartz watch with an extremely flat case. It was a joy to wear but the band was proprietary and broke. A replacement would have cost more than the purchase price of the watch.

I wore a Skagen everyday for two years straight. Wore the heck out of it. The leather strap went to pot but the watch held up pretty well.

I've had one for 14 years and, a few battery changes aside, it's never missed a beat. It's slim and lightweight (Titanium) and although I don't wear it much now it's seen plenty of action and still looks great.
