So, I would like to have an integrated bracelet watch in my collection. I know that the Series 8 isn't technically an integrated bracelet but the design is intended to give it an integrated look. Anyways, with the new Tsuyoshi coming out I am in a bit of a quandary. Here are my Pros. and Cons.
Pros:
Series 8:
More high end with better movement.
Thinner
Cool lug design.
Tsuyoshi:
Amazing Dial
Updated movement with more power reserve than previous model.
upgraded bracelet
small seconds looks cool
Cons:
Series 8:
lack of colour variants
dial seems a bit odd in photos
older model so only second hand
more expensive
Tsuyosa:
Miyota 8000 movement
four o'clock sunken crown
Did I miss anything?
Thanks

The second one. You can always get a black dial
The Series 8 hands down. I owned the Tsuyosa and it's not as good as many people are making it out. It's a good beginner's watch but the luminosity in the hands and markers is weak and the crown is very hard to turn to wind the watch.
As much as the new Tsuyosa is being hyped, I think the Series 8 is still a better and more coherent design overall.
I would not say the new bracelet is a pro. On the contrary, they reduced the taper and it wears bigger as a result, which is an immediate con in my book. I hate that Seiko and Citizen keep making these dumb 22mm down to 20mm bracelets, instead of the much more balanced and aesthetic 22mm down to 18mm. Plus the rounded, kinda president-style links look a bit out of place with the flat and angular case, while the Series 8 bracelet has the same angular shapes as the case.
Tsuyosa - it's a great watch. I think between the two it's aesthetics and design is better. Either will be great, Citizen is on an upswing and hitting these new watches out of the park.
