It's finally here!
I have never been so keen and impulsive on purchasing a watch. Since it's introduction, I have been eyeing this time piece on every known watch site for a bargain. I had a couple misses here and there and in true fashion, "good things come to those who wait." I found a deal I couldn't resist and now, after two days, it's finally in my possession! Time to resize this beauty and slap it on for a WRUW.

Did you know that if you set the GMT hand to local time, and point your local hour hand at the sun, the GMT will point north? (assuming that you are in the northern hemisphere)
I personally set the GMT hand to UTC, and then move the bezel so it matches the local time when I wear it day to day, but the jumping GMT hand makes the solar compass trick easy to do! It's a great travel and (local) exploration watch for that reason
Unlike you, I was impulsive, I had to have it yes or yes and I was one of the first to have it in Mexico of course with its extra cost🤣

Thank you and I am, all three first comments have the SSK03. Now that I'm looking at it, it's making me crave that blue black bezel action. Nice SSK03 and that GS GMT. Hopefully that'll be attainable in the near future.

I do live in the Northern Hemisphere and I have a compass watch SNZE81J1 to scratch that itch. I love geography, travel, and horology, I'll indulge myself into this GMT for the meantime until something else catches my attention.

Thank you, I'll definitely be open to having different variations of straps for this piece. Lovely SSK05 you got there, I was going to go for it first, but I really like the black and red hand contrast and I already have a SRPD59 orange Seiko 5. Overall, all 3 versions are beautiful and so are the 3 newly released versions.
