I own the Seiko Solar Chrono, really like it. Was my daily driver until I got the Seiko 5 GMT, but still gets decent wrist time. I paired mine with a nato pretty early on but the bracelet, while nothing special, does the job (kinda MO for Seiko). It’s surprisingly nice to run around with a quartz, you pick it up after several days and oh that’s right, it has kept perfect time!
I have the steel white dial one, and I’d say it carries quite a bit of hype extra. The design is very cool, sits comfortably on the wrist, and goes well with anything and anywhere. But, there are quite obvious quality compromises, and for me it’s the bracelet. It feels cheap and creates kind of a repeating disappointment: I look at the watch, “oh I should wear the Brew today!”, then I put it on and it’s like oh that’s right, well maybe tomorrow…
