This is one icy seiko
It has been a while since I spent more than a 1,000USD on a Seiko and this one did not disappoint. The last one I spent that much on was a Tuna and that set a pretty high bar. This one might not have shot through that high bar but it still did come pretty close. The dial here really resemble (in my opinion) the ice caps in Antartica breaking off signifying the threat we all face. Global warming. The texture captures the essence of that phenomenon. Its like looking at a photo of a freshly broken off ice wall on your wrist. You get two distinct emotions when looking at the dial. The awe from the beautiful texture and the woe from the looming threat to human existence. Both coming together to create a beautifully melancholic watch.

The dial is immaculate but the handset is slightly off on the hour hand. The bezel alignment is less than half a click off. All in all, I am relieved I got a genuine one. Cant complain! 😹

I was going to buy one but the one my AD have the bezel was misaligned so I was put off a little but not much, I might reconsider though…im waiting to get a jdm version hopefully it will be all aligned
