Your first watch as a kid vs your grail watch now.

So back in the day my first watch was a Timex Ironman.  That thing survived all the crazy stuff a young lad could put it through.  In the 90's I had a couple of Swatches and a Fossil, then I went without a watch until a few years ago.  That is when the passion for this hobby went full steam ahead and I purchased some Seiko, Citizen and Casio G Shock watches.  My current grail is an Accutron Spaceview.  So what has been your watch journey from first to Grail?

My first watch was also the timex ironman 8 lap but in blue. I don't really have a grail watch to think of presently (maybe a mint vintage Citizen Voice Memo C010) but I would love to own a vintage space view also

First watch was a Baby G, my absolute grail watch would be this Blancpain:

It was my very first watch also... How cool were those buttons and the light!!

Grail would be Vacheron Constantin

Oh funny, this timex ironman was my first watch as well! I also had another timex ironman in the 90s that was an ani-digi, with a white dial and a small digital screen at the bottom of the dial. Then graduated to a bunch of fossils until I got a citizen eco drive chrono in 2009. I got a seiko 5 SNK in 2016 and it’s been a freefall ever since.

my grail is a grand seiko, preferably the SBGN005, quartz GMT. I just love the look of it and it seems the dimensions would be perfect

My first watch as a child was a sunburst blue-dialed Seiko automatic with a day-date complication, which my Dad gave as gift from his trip to Japan. I wore it proudly everyday to school, but kept it safe in a shoe box, together with my Matchbox cars, the moment I arrived home.

The first watch I bought for myself was when I graduated from university. It was a Timex Camper. Over the many years after that, I didn't care much what watch I wore. But, I mostly wore sports looking watches and field watches. When I seriously began this watch collecting journey last October, I got myself 2 Seiko pieces which I had been eyeing since 2018 -- the SNXS79 and the SNKL41. My grail watch is the Farer Lander GMT.
