'97 Seiko 5, destined for a mod and some TLC.
First day wearing this one, although it was delivered over a month ago. I got it for a pretty good price, and purchased it specifically for a future mod. I was looking for this case shape.
Initial inspection:
-The 7s26 is running, but I will have to watch it for a couple of days to see how well. It doesn't really matter, because the plan is to swap in an NH36. The quickset day is a little wonky, anyway.
-It's filthy, and could use a deep cleaning. I'll remove the previous owner's DNA, then attempt to refinish the case and bracelet.
-The hands and the indices have a little tarnish/dirt on them, but they will also be changed out, as well. I need to finish up my design for a custom dial. I was thinking about maybe using this dial on another mod. I really can't tell if it's gray or silver (The eBay listing said black in the description 😑😂).
So far, I'm enjoying it jingly-jangly old man goodness.
