First Cartier Tank Must XL

I received my Cartier Tank Must XL in the mail today. First impressions. Gorgeous dial, I love the guilloche design in the middle with complimenting thermal bluing steel hands. Wears very comfortably on my 7in wrist.

However, I feel that this watch is way too big. I personally believe that tank watches should be small and elegant. This seems a bit too in your face. I bought this watch a few weeks ago, and during that time I was looking at vintage Tanks. I think I may switch over to vintage manual wind Tank to get right look.

What are you guys thoughts?

I know exactly how you feel… this happens a lot to me, I am always between two size, in this case, the XL seems a bit to large and the Large seems a bit too small (same thing with the new santos)… but I am really considering the XL someday…

I am happy with the XL.  I have actual vintage watches if I want to wear a vintage size watch.  The Tank XL gives me the timeless style in a modern size.

I love the watch but the XL is a little too big  for me but the whole design is great but preferred a large or medium

I think the OP is right, and admire the ability to get past a confirmation bias after having made the purchase.

Smaller watch may look a bit more elegant.
