Back To The Future

One of my first watches as a kid, the Casio CA-53W. I got this as gift when I was around 10 years old. I felt the coolest kid on the block when I wore this. Today I passed this down to my son who is 8 years old. He absolutely enjoys wearing and doesn’t leave the house without it.

What watch did you buy in 90s?

In the 90's i had a Timex Ironman Thriatlon that my father gave to me, i wore it so much the writing on the buttons got wornout and it eventually broke in the arly 2000's, it was a super cool watch and really light.

I felt like James Bond wearing this. So damn nostalgic.

My father-in-law has one from the '80s, and I think it is so freakin cool. I'll pick one up one of these days.

I bought that model in 1993 when I was at college. I remember driving up Main Street in Cedar City, UT in my Honda Prelude right after buying it and admiring it on my wrist as my hand was resting on the steering wheel. That vivid memory surfaced when I read your post.

I had a calculator watch back in the 80s, but I don't remember what brand it was. Pretty sure my dad bought it at Radio Shack, though. I've been thinking about picking up a new one soon, and maybe an A168, and a DW5600, and etc.,etc. 😂

I don't know if any of my watches from the 90s survived, but I still have 4 from the 80s. The ones I do remember having in the 90s were a Lorus Mickey Mouse watch that would play music while the seconds hand danced around, and a Wenger S.A.K. that bit the dust sometime in the early 2000s. I also had some cheapo watch that had either a moonphase, or maybe it was a sun & moon, I can't remember. Working in restaurants killed that one, as well. The 90s/00s were tough times if you wanted to be my watch. 😂

I have a DW5600 for about 8 years now, it's a great watch and not only for the price, it's my "Go anyhwre, do anything" watch, i replaced the original strap for a NATO because i didn't like much the comfort on the original strap but that's the only mod on it.
