Help with resetting a Casioak!

The clocks and watches went forward, overnight, here in the UK. All of my watches have been easy enough to reset, except my G-Shock 'Casioak'. The instructions, although short, are incomprehensible.

Does anyone have an idiot's guide to changing the time on this one?  I have tried various video clips but, understandably, they move too quickly to work things out in real time.

I am very fond of this watch but was nearly admitted to a secure unit for the elderly, this morning, trying to sort it out. With many thanks in advance.

That is your Winter Watch.

'Now is the winter of our discontent...'

Progress!  I found this page which showed me everything, in a simple way that suits the simple man that I have become. I now have the watch telling the time, but not yet the date or the 2 million other things I might want to look at. 'One day at a time, sweet Jesus.'  I will have it mastered by the time I need to put it back in Winter mode.

Well the casioak works like any other gshock. Just hold down on the adjust button until the digits start flashing, push mode until you come to the DST option and then hit the start button to turn it on. Once set, the hands will adjust themselves forward an hour. If you dont want the DST logo on the display then push mode until the hours start flashing and hit start button once to go ahead an hour and then push the adjust button once you’re done setting the watch. Hope this helps!

Thanks for this. I gave it a try but still can't make it work! Grrrrr.

I thought it was all set up, last night. When I checked, this morning, it had moved on an hour! It seems a shame to live with an hour fast! 😭

The GA-2100 certainly doesn't feature an intuitive user interface. I have 2 of them, and was able to change the time on both, but one of them refuses to show the correct day of the week, even though it shows the correct month, day and year. From everything that I can see, the day of the week is supposed to be set automatically based on the date, but that's not happening.

Best of luck in getting yours set.

Must’ve been my error. When you hold down the adjust button, hold it down until it beeps once, not until the digits start flashing because it shows what time zone you have set. So after it beeps, hit the mode button once, then hit the start button once then the little marker next to the word DST should appear. If this doesn’t help it may be worth looking up a YouTube video 😅
