Used them for years on my Seamaster 300. Nowt to worry about security wise.
Did see on a Peter Kotsa video the other day that quick release spring bars tend to be magnetic (!!) - he demonstrated by waving a compass over them. Curious & maybe a bit worrying for properly old watches that have little protection (yours will be fine(
Like I said, used 'em for years with no adverse effects.
Give 'em a wiggle to ensure there is no play when you switch 'em. Done. I won't buy a strap that doesn't offer quick release and pay a premium to have 'em added to bespoke straps. I am a lazy, lazy man.
I only ever had one failure with quick release spring bars and it was putting on a heavy backpack. My watch caught the shoulder strap and I ripped the bar clean out of the lug hole, but I think it would have happened to any spring bar. Use them, just make sure they're secure.
No worries, as long as they're of sufficient quality. I would be more worried about the cheap regular springs bars that bend when you look at them wrong.

I've never had an issue. I tend to be more worried about the lug hole itself wearing out.
It's just you. Quick release spring bars are secure, just have to make sure they are properly secured.

Love your 2254, blummin' gorgeous mate 😍
I don't worry about it, but I do try and check they are engaged securely if I change straps. After that it doesn't cross my mind.
Love them!

Gorgeous Seamaster!
Theyve been around for a few decades now. Failure rate is no worse than the OG's
