Buyer beware! When your work is misused

Recently, I was sent a link to an Instagram post that referenced one of my earliest articles at WahaWatches...

...and most of the text in that Insta post has been copied directly from my article. Yeah, OK, the guy gave credit. But the devil's in the details. It's been seasoned with baloney to legitimize grifting.

Here's my actual article:

Let's have a look at the text of that Insta post:

Wait, what?!!!

That. Is. Obscene. Crazy values conjured from thin air, and the guy just pasted that produce of his vivid imagination into a text that I wrote.

Here are some excerpts from my actual article...

I don't know how should I call what he's done. Grifting for sure, but just copying my text and inserting BS into it feels a lot like a form of  plagiarism.

I stand by what I wrote years ago.

Stay safe, folks, and don't get taken for a ride by that kind of "dealers!"

I would call that lying. He's lying about something you said. He's saying you said something that you didn't say. He took words that you did say, changed them into words you didn't say, and said that you said them. That's called lying. And it's worth calling out.

Is his name Tristano G Veneto 😂. Plagiarism can at best be a compliment but at worst be like a game of Chinese whispers

Call him out!!!
