I don't buy homage watches no matter how cheap or good the copy. You can fool others because 99% of people dont know anything about watches but not yourself.

Sum of the parts. Brand is blurred because they outsource a lot of stuff. The most critical part is the movement and they can put a 50 cent movement into a very pretty case so price point of the movement is a good indicator of how good it is. Tudor ran with ETA for many years until they went Swatch group only. All the little guys are using off the shelf components so apart from finish their reliability is dependent on another companies product. Its all about what they have to spend to get you to spend all the while keeping their investors happy. It is always about the money.

Being detail oriented or fussy is NOT OCD.

If you have OCD, you'll usually experience frequent obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours.

  • An obsession is an unwanted and unpleasant thought, image or urge that repeatedly enters your mind, causing feelings of anxiety, disgust or unease.

  • A compulsion is a repetitive behaviour or mental act that you feel you need to do to temporarily relieve the unpleasant feelings brought on by the obsessive thought.

OCD can be a debilitating mental health issue. If you are experiencing actual OCD symptoms with regard to your watches, seek medical help.

Please, people, stop misusing the term. We're better than that.

@icecreamman Pretty sad you write snarky things only to delete them. Childish.

I have no problem with criticism. I do have a problem with someone writing smart ass replies then deleting them and running away. Post like an adult.

Loving the banter.. let's keep it going! All about watches!

Form follows function. Design is first because I have to appreciate it on my wrist. Then it must function well. Regardless of price.

Buying a homage is not about pretending to own the original. If you appreciate the look and design of the original and can't afford it, then I will get it. Not for anyone else's approval, but for me.

All of it!

I go for the design 💯 first then bracelet and build quality. Brand is my last thought. And yes I go on instict as well 👍

You are partially correct sir. But many out there buy Homage watches for self satisfaction as everyone can't get on the Rolex list or can't buy so they go for homage. However I also endorse that one should not buy outright copy of a watch.

Voted for B. It has to be a good design/design I like first of all

With bracelets it depends if I intend to wear it on the bracelet in the first place. Of my 6 watches 2 didn't come with one and 3 of the 4 were swapped to straps

I know some really care about crowns, but imo even on a occasional wears like my mechanical dress watches, it's still a few minutes out of an entire day so it doesn't really bother me (and with quartz I'll never touch the crown)

Brand isn't really a factor for me, as long as the name isn't something dumb

I think that we can have the most attractive design, the most rare piece, the cheapest, the most expensive,... None of that would make you overcome an uncomfortable wearing experience due to size, bracelet or strap. Once you stop feeling you have it on your wrist ..thats the one.

Even a large watch that is well balanced wears like it's nothing 👍🏾
