What watch to wear
Hypocritically speaking , let’s say you’re a coo for a large event company. You’re having to go on a rare on site out of town job to help set up a large new greenhouse tent for a multi million dollar job. Hard hats etc. you have a large watch collection and a Tudor north flag is your daily. Do you wear your nominally or swatch to something you don’t mind getting beat up? Though just note the north flag will be going in for service and polish by years end.

Hypothetically?
Hypothetically I would wear the G Shock. (Why make yourself have to think twice about your wrist? You dont want to hesitate subconsciously. Leave your nice watch and be in the moment with the team.) Hypothetically.
Depends how much work you'll be doing. If not much and if I can put it in my pocket if a rare need arises, daily is fine.
Anything else, I take the beater.

I would say wear the nicest watch you own. Being a bit tongue in cheek here, but I’ve never seen a company executive do actual labor 😁

Nah. I make it a point to get in the mix with the guys when I’m in the field. I’m 45 but fit and can hang with them for a day or two. Helps me to hold them accountable when they see me working as hard or harder then them for a few days.
I want a COO who shows up ready to work and get dirty, if needed. The GShock says he means to work. I dont need to see him ruin his daily watch to prove himself.
I like French fries...
