Question for Zelos fans

I have been wanting to add a gmt to my collection. I currently have a number of zenith’s, a snowflake, an omega and I wear a Tudor north flag for a beater. For those of you who have handled Zelos watches, will I be disappointed in the fit and finish bs the caliber of watches I am use to?

I have not handled these ‘top tier’ watches. So as a direct comparison I cannot say. My Zelos is probably the ‘nicest’ watch I own though, and I have nothing but great things to say about the watch and the company.

Perhaps some managing of expectations would be prudent. Just based on price it shouldn’t/won’t be finished as nicely as your other watches. But for the price they are finished excellently.

Thanks. I just really love this design! How long have they making them , do you know?

Zelos has been around since 2014, so they’ve been making watches for a while.I’ve only handled their models priced at around $500, and the finishing is fantastic. I can only imagine their higher prices models are even better.

Again though, if you expect it to be as nice as your higher priced watches, you might be disappointed. If you manage the expectations, you might even be pleasantly surprised!

If you're used to watches around $2000 - $5000 mark, think of a Zelos as a watch you wear to slum it with workable specs and surprisingly good finishing for the price. They'll miss things here or there but you wouldn't really notice it.

Oh I’ll probably notice. I’m a huge zenith fan but the clasps do bother me.

Ive owned a Swordfish Ti, my normal daily wear is my Seamaster 300 heritage or Aqua Terra quartz (SM 75% of the time).

I hated the Zelos. Angular style seemed crude, really didn't like the feeling of Ti (tho I e got a Ti Tissot T-touch for mountains) . Whole thing just felt like a flashy budget microbrand watch trying to look expensive but ending up tacky and a bit kitsch.

Great watch if you're on a tight budget and want something fancy, but if you're used to higher quality stuff you'll end up disappointed & stuck with something that's hard to sell on.

Not handled any of their more pricey pieces, but the gaudy try-hard styling & materials remain the same, as I should imagine does the huge depreciation when you inevitably want to get shot of it.

But that's just what I think & I'm pretty fussy.

Buy what you love. 👍🏻

First of let me say I generally really like Zelos, and I haven't seen that particular one. But from the ones I have seen, I think you will be disappointed if you are used to luxury levels of fit and finish.

For instance I have seen a couple of their watches reaching more towards the $1k price point. The original spearfish, spearfish GMT, and the more recent Eagle II. With those they are great for offering an original design, and a great movement at the price they were selling at. Yet the fit and finish was average for that price.

·

Zelos is top notch finish and fit for the price. The movement is the movement. If you buy the $500 models you will hear movement spinning. I've not purchased the higher priced ones. I assume they are nicer but you're paying for the complication at a discount

As a collector of relatively high-end watches, I own seven Zelos watches and find the quality for money is usually there. I did just buy the Spearfish dual time, @ $2200.00 this watch is pushing the $ to quality line but happy I got one

Overpriced for this brand
