Glad to hear it, but for that much money alignment and accuracy shouldn't be a surprise.

I didnt pay the RRP , they are a nice watch but not worth AU$2000. I got a good deal during Christmas.

Yeah, I just keep thinking about all the micros that care too much about their product to sell something at $300 that's misaligned.  I think Seiko owes its customers better.  One of the reasons I'm not totally pissed at Rolex, is that as annoying as the buying process is these days, they still provide a quality product.  Somehow a long wait isn't a slap in the face to me the way poor quality is.

Mostly I'm bitter because I want to still love Seiko, but they're making it hard.

I got one of these,,   https://seikoluxe.com/products/spb257   It came with 2 bands that I swapped out for a nice black leather band

Congrats on winning the Seiko lottery. Love the Willard, but for what that watch costs it shouldn't be a crapshoot to get one that's correct!

If you could, tell us about the Swiss Connect device.  I could find very little on the web about it.

Rolex also have misalignments and QC issues. Not as many as Seiko but enough to matter.

I use Barton leather bands on my watches - I prefer the feel to bracelets
