Perfect Breguet Watch? Bucherer Blue Edition

Image

I have the Breguet Marine 5817. I really like the way it looks, but it was discontinued a while ago. As for its newer replacement, it's the Breguet 5517. Although it's a more modern reissue of the same watch, there are some drawbacks. I'm not a fan of the thick lume-filled Roman numerals because, in my opinion, they make the watch less elegant. Additionally, the guilloche pattern is only available for the white gold version, which is significantly more expensive, while the titanium version has a sunburst dial that doesn't look as interesting.

However, there's a perfect edition that combines the best of both older and newer versions: the Breguet Marine Bucherer Blue Edition. It has a modern rubber strap and case structure, is made of titanium, features a guilloche dial, and elegant Roman numerals, just like my Breguet 5817. The only problem is that I don't even know where to get it or if it's still available for purchase

I'm personally not a fan of the wave pattern on this gen of marines (you can get the wave pattern on a bunch of seikos lol). I like the version that Federico has with the big date at 6. Classy guilloche and symmetry as well

Federico is having the same older Breguet Marine just like mine, it’s only the dial color that’s different. He has it in white, mine is blue
