This Tissot SeastarSeven from the late 60s was the first watch I complete disassembled cleaned, lubrucated, put back together and that still worked after all I did to it!
I had worked on several different old and broken movements before but I never was able to pull off the whole service until this Tissot.
There it was in pieces but after a while of work it came back together. The moment I put the balance back in and it came to life was absolutely incredible. That was the feeling that pulled me even deeper into the watch tinkering stuff.
I will forever keep this watch in my collection and love to wear it from time to time as it reminds me of the hard (and often almost too frustrating) way to learn to repair a watch as a hobbyist.
