I am a huge fan of dive watches and have been looking for the right chronograph diver, to match my favourite complication with my favourite watch style. I’ve tried a couple of different options including a Seiko Prospex and a Citizen Promaster but they’ve always been too bulky for me. This one from Norqain delivers very well for me with a diameter of 41mm and a lug to lug under 50mm, I was a little worried about the 15mm thickness but a lot of that disappears on wrist thanks to the caseback. 100m of water resistance secured with a screw down crown, I know modern divers are generally built with a minimum of 200m of wr but that 100 will suit me fine.
I found this a little while ago but ignored it as the MSRP was well over my budget, but as I found it on sale within my price range I had to take a punt and I’m happy I did.

Congratulation to your new watch Matt. Looks very crisp with a beautiful blue color.

Thanks Per I just couldn’t go passed it. A beautiful blue dialed diver chronograph in a reasonable size. It just hit all my buttons. Might need to wait a bit longer to get that Epoch.
Congratulations. I really like the Norqain designs and feel that as a brand they don't get the recognition they deserve. Part of that is likely due to their retail prices, which are definitely somewhat optimistic. I have an Adventure Sport Chrono that I picked up at the local Norqain AD in Jan 2020 for a 30% discount during a sales event - at that price it was well worth it, but pretty hard to justify at list price.
I have the CW C60 Chrono. 42 and quite thick, but wears surprisingly well, as the caseback is coated black and tends to disappear on wrist. Great fit & finish.
Congratulations 🎉 Beautiful watch! Love the blue carbon fiber dial and the red hands 🔥

Agree 100%. They’re great looking slightly overpriced (in my opinion) watches, and when you get a reasonable discount they’re well worth it.

Christopher Ward can’t seem to do anything wrong. I saw that chrono and it was hard to pull myself away from it.

Thanks yeah this one really is a looker, I’m really happy with it.

I too am a fan of dive style watches. Just like you, I have become intrigued by chronographs. I've found this little Ronda 8040n that I can't stop looking at 🥴
Matt nice pick up. I'm a fan of Norqain I have the Freedom 60 and I love it. Does it has the new Kinissi movement in it? I really like the dial on that one. Cheers!
Yep they just can’t go wrong that watch looks brilliant.

That’s one nice looking watch please post some pictures if you go for it.

Yeah the dial was the first thing to pull me in. I’m really curious about that movement but no they’ve just modified a Sellita 500a for this one.

The new Norqains have the in house a Tudor movement but I don't know if they make one for a chronograph.

Can’t answer that one, but this one is just their in house movement the NN17 which I think is either based on or modified from the Sellita. I’m guessing a Tudor movement might price this out for me.

The Valjous is a solid movement. That's what's in mine. You don't have anything to worry about. In fact it's probably going to be easier to service.

I agree, doesn’t unfortunately cure my curiousity about those Tudor movements. This is a dangerous hobby we’re in.

Yes that's a very true statement. I know 100% the Norqain uses Tudor movements in their watches. Which model I'm not sure. I'd guess the GMTs.
Very nice
