I genuinely think I am done for sometime ๐Ÿค”

Watch fanatic, made some mistakes, some stinkers! Both purchases and selling. Selling my 2002 Seamaster 300 and my Rolex Explorer 36mm being of note. However recently I have taken time to reflect on what I want from my watches. So I have thinned out again, sold some nice pieces and I have had no regrets about it. ๐Ÿ‘ I have been on the waiting list for another Explorer through my AD, got the call, even went to the AD to collect. Did nothing for me, walked away. I was also on the list for the Green Seamaster 300. I was in Leeds where they had one in the window, tried and I was just Meh ๐Ÿซค superb watch but just not the same anymore. Cancelled from the list. Epiphany momentโ€ฆ. And realisation, I actually own my grail watches. The Radiomir and Luminor there is actually nothing I want above these, yes I will get a submersible so I have the triumvirate, but I am in no rush.

I then think that the Green Longines is such an amazing and underrated piece that it swayed my Seamaster purchase, as did the San Martin homage for the RE. And the Tudor for dress watch was an abomination up until 6 months ago when I started looking properly at its history and build quality, now I love it. So after years of highs and lows, purchase regrets money lost etc I think I am there, for the foreseeable. If asked when I started if this would be the line up I would have absolutely said no. But here we are and I am currently at peace โœŒ

I have been debating a last watch myself from Panerai, Breitling, Grand Seiko and Omega. I think just reading the posts on WC somehow reminded me of my desire to complete the 3 iterations from Panerai and have made appointments to view the two California dial Radiomirs in the brand catalogue. Perhaps one last watch from Breitling will complete my own journey.

Itโ€™s strange to have reached this point, but itโ€™s also satisfying. The realisation that you already have what you think are still looking for is truly gratifying. I now find myself delving into the history and the stories of the Watch more than I did before which I am enjoying. And the California dial Radiomir is a fine choice ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I think 4 decades dabbling with watches is a long enough investigation!

Cheers,

After collecting my Panerai Radiomir I felt the same way about my collectionโ€ฆ satisfied. In fact I think Panerai might be the only maker I own that I want multiple of. Beautiful pieces you have there!

You do realize, that we can see your reflection on the Panerai?
