Made My Decision!
I went with the Oceanking! Sat down with Justin Kraudel himself and had a few glasses of scotch while he helped me decide between the Oceanking and Coke Skyquest. In reality, it shouldn't have been close. This watch is amazing and you just have to feel it. I considered other brands, but being local to St Louis Monta has my heart. Where else can I sit down with the owner and talk watches over a glass of whiskey while he sizes my bracelet. Such a great experience I will never forget and an amazing watch that will be hard to get off my wrist.

New to watches but I fell down the rabbit hole fast. Being local to St Louis, I will have a Monta heavy rotation but love other brands as well.

Awesome! I'm not local to St Louis, but I stopped into Monta HQ while traveling through a couple of years ago. Met with Justin, talked watches for an hour while pursuing the entire Monta lineup - not a bad choice in the bunch. Walked out with a silver dial Triumph on my wrist!

it was a tough decision! the points that took the OK over the top for me were versatility, better bezel action, and I would use the time bezel far more than the GMT function. I still want a GMT in my collection one day but I feel a nice classic diver is better suited in my collection right now. rounding out my two watch collection nicely!

I know I told Justin he might as well just hand me a box and swipe my card😂 but tbh the Oceanking is the better watch overall and I'm glad I went that way
Monta is such an amazing brand - every model is just so well designed and you can find a style to fit basically any taste. Plus, it's based in the great city of St. Louis and manufactures in Switzerland for the cache that lends to any watch. Just a great brand with terrific customer service.
