Vintage Rolex?

My friend found this Rolex at her grandmothers place and was wondering if its authentic! What do you all think? Frankenstein? Fake? Apparently its pretty old!

Unfortunately i think fake

I see! Are there any signs of that? From what I can see, I think its weird that it says datejust and water resist on the dial!

Datejust would be ok if the watch would ha been a datejust… no rolex, to the best of my knowledge, shows “water resist” (sic) captioned on the dial. One would rather expect “superlative chronometer officially certified “

Says Datejust but has no date, for starters. The overall quality.

Hit it with a hammer. Horrible attempt at faking. Hands too short, awful dial printing, poor design.

I am amazed at how many grandparents , here and at other fora, are harboring fake watches

True! I think it has been on their family for a while! I had my doubts when I saw it as well!

I was think that as well! It usually doenst say wr 30 on a Rolex

OYSTER means water resistance at least 10 bar, not 3.

DATEJUST means there's a date.

·

Ah yes, a datejust with no date window

·

So fake, it's not even trying to be a Rolex.

·

Should say just time 😂
