Pitzmann 2, am I bias?

So, being korean, I want to like this pitzmann 2. But I actually love it. It's moving into purchase territory. Am I too biased by my korean heritage, or is this a great sub $1k watch?

I also bought it since I am Korean. But! It is more than worth it. If you like this one just go for it!

I think they are a great everyday sport style watch that can also be used as a dress watch if needed as long as the size and measurements work for you 🙂

The Time Teller gave it a glowing review yesterday: https://youtu.be/8OhWjq6TDRI

I say if you like the look, are happy with the specs, feel a connection to it and are comfortable with the price buy it.

Are you biased? Maybe. But aren’t we all in one way or another? This hobby is solely about your own passions and tastes. If a piece speaks to you, and you can afford it, then there’s no reason not to go for it.

·

Support your korean cultural heritage if you can, but only buy if it appeals to you.

I like the Pitzmann 1. Classic looks with a nice execution of the dial finish.

Does Korea have a strong horological heritage?

Any Korean brands that we might know?

If you love it, buy it! It’s a very nicely designed watch that would make for a great daily wear. Go for it!

Not that I know of. I constantly look for korean watch brands, but most are ok quartz watches. Very few luxury watches of mechanical or quartz varieties. Aside from pitzmann, I've never been interested in them.

Hmm, nice reminder.. I looked into them and might check them out again. I HATE the name. They could've picked something related to Korea to be super authentic. Pitzman is like classic Korean uber capitalism, damn. Makes me not want one.

I do want to be supportive to fellow countrymen though.... Did you pull the trigger??

I love Pitzmann too.

If it was a little (very little) bit smaller, it would be on my shortlist for the next one (agaisnt C.Ward, Used Citizen Chronomaster or Farer).

I particularly love the curves of the lugs from upper view, reminds me of Ming and Journe by some way. Also love the balance between the dial and the bezel.
