Both are iconic watches , good luck to getting either one. I'm a bit of a seiko fan, and got a great used deal on a sla043. And I believe these high end seikos are equal in build quality to both the rolex and omegas. I managed to bag one for 2.4k used but mint , so I'm happy !!!
Sweet watch and defo has the vibe of a gs gmt. I love my seikos and wanted a gs diver , but haven't found any that I really liked. Decided to go for the sla043, which I got for 2.4k used but nearly new, and that's me happy now !!!
Love the speedie, but at 5k now new, they are becoming expensive. As little as 3 years ago could get one for 3k. I think the rolex crazy price thing has a big part to play in this price difference. It's a shame because for most people a rolex sub has become unattainable, and the speedie looks to be going the same route !!!
Feel the same . Just buy what you enjoy. I enjoy some of my cheaper pieces more than my more expensive ones. My most expensive piece was 2.5k used or 4k new. I always tend to buy used and get a great price. I think once you spend over 5k , it's hard to justify the value for money . But if your loaded , then that's not an issue. Do try to try them on before spending too much on one, as you might not like it in person , if you buy blind online. That's why there are loads on the grey market because people buy online , without any experience of the watch personally.
