Going to visit the in-laws and father-in-law is a huge watch collector. According to my sister-in-law he has been on the hunt for a bronze field watch to add to his collection. I thought the Hamilton would be a good choice but I have been told that Hamilton is one of the few watch brands he actively dislikes. Any ideas out there?

Oris big crown bronze
Iwc has nice peices
Ive got big pointer date on bronze bracelet and I love it, but I would not call it a Field Watch. It doesnt seem to be just a tool and it works very good with more dressy situations. In your budget for more tooly feeling I would look at IWC spitfire bronze or maybe even more versatile IWC mark XX which has in house movement 120 h power reserve - it looks dressy with a bracelet and tooly on NATO and it has a great system to change straps easily
Edit: I forgot there is no bronze mark XX. So look at IWC spitfire or you could even look at IWC spitfire chronograph 41 mm
Immediately think about IWC and Breitling but seem Breitling doesn’t has Bronze watches 🤔
Way below budget but CW do a few bronze watches. Does panarai do anything bronze.
Actually bottom 2 would be my pick
For this budget I'd go with an IWC Spitfire bronze... I guess it's a pilot's watch initially, but with the numerals and 39 mm case it's pretty close to a field watch, and I love the green dial.
IWC also has a big pilot (43 mm) and chronograph (41 mm) in bronze but at this point it's really more aviation-inspired than field watch.
Otherwise, for a more budget-friendly option, I think the CW C65 Sandhurst in bronze works well. CW has experience with bronze for divers, but this one definitely has all the attributes of a field watch. This one can also come with a bronze bracelet (although that departs from the field watch aesthetic).
