70‘s Retro Styling :)

For me there is nothing better than some good old 70‘s funkiness! Best era in terms of chrono designs, no boundries, anything goes! What do you think?

Wow those are some gorgeous pieces. I agree that, that particular era of chronographs were the most ambitious and playful with the design - I personally love the colors and register shapes. The case design for me is a bit hit and miss but to quote Michael Scott: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. - Wayne Gretzky” 😂

Thanks! Yeah there are a lot of “marmite“ case designs from the era so its very much polarizing but thats exactly why I love it, do not see this kind of “risky” design from main stream brands today, I am happy to try and fill that gap though ;)

Sweet trio nice to see a bullhead. Detroit Mint is one of the only I know of doing a bullhead these days

Having lived through the 1970's I remember horrible rayon clothing and brown herculon sofas. My preferred decades for watch design are the '40's and '60's. It never occurred to me to separate out chronographs.

I think that you may be right.  What may not work in a dress watch may work perfectly well in a chrono.

Nice pieces.

Thanks :) I did one back in 2018 and will launch a MKII version towards end of this year 🙏

I find the 70s to be a sweet spot of watch design in general for me but totally agree on the chronographs. That Titus bullhead is amazing.

Couldn’t agree more. My favourite chronos ever are the Tudor Homeplate and Monte Carlo of the 70s. Not to mention the Mark seies Speedmasters and Omega Bullhead and soccer timers. And of course all the El Primeros.

The  1970’s gave us some interesting ideas for sure, I love a bullhead but some other designs are a bit radical

That's my favorite Straton chronograph along with the Speciale, but I currently don't see that one on the website. Did you discontinued it, Kyle? Also, two changes I would like to see for the Mark 2 Leggera is the bezel being bi-directional with 60 clicks and more lume, but other than that, it doesn't need any changes. Also, after reading this, go check out my two crossover fics on Archive Of Our Own, or AO3 for short, and maybe create your own AO3 account (I'm the author of the BanG Dream! x Love Live! x South Park crossover fic series, by the way):

The remake Stan and Wendy wedding fic (chapter two is still in progress as I wanted to give every character their own speech, and it's a long one): https://archiveofourown.org/works/43972746?view_full_work=true
