My orange travel buddy 🧡
About a year ago I got myself this lovely Seiko to commemorate my first real pay check (as a working student) and finally add a good mechanical time piece to my collection.
So far my collection only consisted of fashion brand watches due to budget reasons and me being able to pick them up at factory prices (my auntie works at Fossil 😅)
I choose the SSK005 for a few reasons...
First of all I love how much quality you get for the price 😍
Furthermore orange is my favourite colour 🧡
And last but not least I love to travel 🛩️ (even though I haven't been able to travel much of yet, I always take it gladly on my trips)
Fast forward to one year later and I don't regret buying it at all. It is still my favourite watch in my collection 🥰 ... may not be my most worn atm 😅 but for every special occasion and/or travelling... I'll take it out gladly 🧡

Love the color on this one 🙂 If you want a matching rubber strap I can recommend the end link rubber strap from Clockwork republic. They have a orange strap that matches the dial perfectly.

I love the story behind that purchase, enjoy it and wear it in good health truely a great piece that shows how much joy and quality you can get out of these Seiko 5s 😁👍🏻 They are just so much value for money 🙌🏻
This is a classic already. Possibly the best orange colour dial on the market. Big fan of this one.

I have the same color and get more compliments on it than many of my more expensive watches. It is really hard to capture its beauty online. Amazing watch
My SSK003 (blue) is my first nice automatic. My Scurfa Treasure Seeker is my orange fix.

I also have a Fossil chronograph that was gifted to me by my mother a decade ago. Seiko also was the first watch I bought with my own money. Cheers to more watches to come! 🍻

Awesome watch, congrats! You picked a great travel companion 👍 I also bought a Seiko 5 recently and fell in love with it right after the first time wearing it. I am also a huge fan of the orange version. Maybe one day I will be able to add it to my collection...

I don't like the feeling of silicone on my skin 🙈 but a rubber strap would surly be kinda cool 😊

I looked the clockwork straps up already they look amazing 😍 ... unfortunately the orange ones are sold out atm 🙈
