Spinnaker Fifty Phantoms second hand?
I completely missed the hype around the spinnaker Fifty Phantoms - I'm a huge fan of the fifty fathoms and I would love to have this playful piece on my wrist. (Image is sourced from Google search).
If I understood the available information right, there was a limited run of 670 pieces (or was ist 670 black and 670 mist pieces?) and then they offered a dark blue variant for 50 hours of which they sold 2200 pieces.
Looking around on eBay and stuff I cannot seem to find a single piece without more than double the retail price.
Are there any tips on how to aquire one of these pieces or is anyone willing to sell theirs for a reasonable price? I'm in the EU (Germany).

Yeah and those were the cheapest offerings. Granted, I don't know if they sell at those prices, but I cannot find them any cheaper.
Congrats on yours, looks lovely. I would maybe try a grey FKM rubber strap to make the mist grey a theme.

I hardly wear this … I only liked the ghosties lol
IMHO (having owned 2), no Spinnaker is worth double the retail, or anywhere near double, regardless of hype.

For reference the base variant is the Fleuss
Which retails for ~$300 with the NH movement.
As far as I’m aware, the the only major change to the Fleuss to make it a Phantom is the dial.

I just bought a fifty phantoms blue on accident.. two days ago I found one on eBay for 400€ starting offer and 900€ instant buy (don't know the exact term in english). Then it had 9 observers and zero offers. I put in the minimum offer of 400€ and left it at that. 20 minutes ago I was notified that I got it. There was no other offer than mine. New and full set with stickers on for 400€ 😂.
I'm happy to join the gang very soon!
