Seiko Alpinist 2021 European Edition SPB197J1
Years back when I first saw the Seiko Alpinist I wasn't a fan of the desgin and look , however over the years it gradually started to appeal to me and now it has become one of my favourite if not favourite watches in my collection. When I saw the Europen glacier blue edition couldn't resist picking this model up .Anyone else have a watch which has become there favourite over time which original disliked ?

Love that color and dial texture.
I had never never liked the alpinist until I saw that watch. That glacier blue just has a certain something. But I ended up buying it for a friends birthday instead of for myself. He absolutely loves it.

Was just a middle of the range top grain leather strap from Strapify an Australian online shop think about 60 to 80 aud. Say made in Spain the quality of its pretty good for the price

Absolutely love the Alpinist. This one is especially important since my wife gifted it to me.

I really like this style but would love a version with no date or the date at a less eye catching position. And no cyclops. The rest of the watch is gorgeous in my opinion.
For me the Citizen Nighthawk took me a few wears to truly enjoy. I became so used to dive style watches that it felt oddly big to have such a big dial as found on most pilots watches. Luckily, I kept wearing it and eventually got used to the size and look on wrist and enjoy it !
