Hi Guys,
So I have this broken Rotary automatic watch. The movement has a few parts broken (it was dropped). It's been sitting around for a while and I want to fix it at some point. It's currently got a basic Miyota 8215 movement, but I want to replace it with the new 8315.
So question is, is the 8315 a direct Form & Fit replacement for the 8215? And also, what tools will I need to swap out the movement?
Thanks.

Just wanted to say nice Rotary watch! I have a Rotary and love it.
It's great belonging to WC just for this reason. Good luck on the repair. 😃

thanks a lot. Hopefully i'll be doing it sometime this year (need to buy the tools too so bit costly upfront).
Interested in this. I too own a rotary, a seamatic. Love the watch, the movement isn't as good as my seiko watches though and I dislike no hacking.
If the 8315 is a direct drop in replacement, I will be doing that

I looked at the detail drawing of both the 8215 and 8315. All dimensions are exactly the same so I think it is a direct drop-in replacement. The drawings are available on the miyota website so worth looking to confirm but to me it looked like an exact copy (which is perfect).
