Review: Nodus Wins Gold With This Two-Tone Bronze Banger!

On October 26th Nodus released a limited edition iteration of their popular Sector Sport line of watches.

Limited to 75 pieces worldwide I was extremely fortunate to have been able to snatch one of these stunning watches.

l've recently been looking towards a bronze cased watch, and though this piece only has a bronze bezel and crown, it definitely scratches that itch. The potential for patina intrigued me and I can't wait for the transformation.

The case finishing is superb. The 3-6-9 raised indices are done very well and really blurs the line between classy and fun.

The movement is the reliable/affordable no-date Seiko NH38. The cost saved by using this movement translates when looking at the quality of this case and bracelet. It's gorgeous. The dial is a sunburst dark grey with subtle brownish hues, looking like a coffee color that complements the gilt indices and bronze bezel and crown. The lume is A-grade BGW9 and is generously applied.

One criticism I have is that the bracelet uses screw to hold the links together and the watch box did not come with a screwdriver tool. Luckily for me I have one on hand, but it would be extremely frustrating if I didn't.

I absolutely recommend this model for anyone that wants a sporty GADA watch with a great balance of charm and class. I'm not sure if this limited edition Sector Sport will ever be re- released in the future, but the other colorways are also amazing and well worth consideration.

Shout out to Nodus for this excellent release. This model just might be one I would buy again in another color. Fantastic watch!!

Thanks for the feedback! We're redesigning our packaging now and will look into a slot for tools.

Very nice. 👍

How do you choose? The entire Sector line is sexy. I haven't seen a photo yet that didn't make me think "That's the one!".

Great watch! Thanks for sharing!

The presentation is actually awesome, but the addition of the tool slot would make a good thing better. I appreciate that you took the time to acknowledge the review. It really matters. I will be a return customer, that Avalon II is on my list. Thanks.

I've got #66 from this small batch run. Mine is running at +2 seconds a day after a week of monitoring. I love the crown knurling. I'm not a huge fan of the tall(ish) case, but the nice rehaut design that is afforded by the case height looks really good. I was a little worried about the long(ish) lug-to-lug for my little kitten wrist, but ended up fitting just fine due to the downturn on the lugs. Great watch!

This is so cool. What a testament to the value of this app. I would never have heard opinions of a watch owner that participated in such an exclusive release. Very cool.

My wrist is 6.5 and the case is nearly perfect IMO. The lugs are a bit long, but the concave design they have helps to reduce the perception of length. The bronze is nice but tends to absorb moisture when touched and I feel like it's hard to wipe away. I don't know if that's just the nature of the material or what. All and all I am very satisfied with this purchase. I also bought a Horween leather strap for it, and I can verify it is very high quality. It's my best leather strap now. Shout out @Wes_nodus and the whole team @Nodus. 🙌

Great looking watch, I like this more than the steel only models!
