I bought a PRX Quartz 35mm...

... and I like/don't love it!

I chose the 35mm in Rose Gold. I was looking for a white dial and wasn't willing to spend $550 for the MOP dial automatic. I decided on the champagne, close enough.

(They have a 35mm white dial version, but it only comes on a rubber strap... Nope!)

First impressions... it is small(subjectivity understood). Sizing the bracelet really gave me pause because it's pretty slim and tapers down to 16mm, and it felt like a piece of jewelry rather than a watch bracelet. Not a bad thing, but... noticeable.

Another thing is, I expected it to feel more sporty. The vibe is much more dressy to me. Maybe it's the non-waffle dial.

One thing I must say is... the wrist-roll is REAL! Subtle, and blingy at the same time. Also, the dial color and layout screams Datejust, but that is not at all a bad thing.

The finishing is superb. You can really see the difference between microbrand finishing and OG Swiss machining.

It got me thinking of these following questions:

Is it because of the oversaturation of the PRX in videos and articles, that I feel so "meh" about it?

Did the 35mm size play a bigger role than I thought it would?

Was it the Rose Gold colorway that is putting me in this state of indecision?

Ultimately, I lke what I see, but I haven't fell in love... yet. I'll wear it a bunch before I give a final verdict.

But, in the battle between "love" and "like"... "like" is winning at the moment.

*Context: I just bought this vintage Seiko Lordmatic and I fell in love right away. Only time will tell with the PRX.

P.S. My Lorier Neptune is coming in today so, the PRX will have some competition for wrist time.

They are popular for the Genta look but put together very well and the only detraction is the integrated bracelet to some. I have 2 PR100 powermatic 80's I wear on my big wrist and love the comfort of the small size.

I think the white dial contributes a lot in making it feel dressier than other PRXs

I didn't think of that, but you got a point.
