What do you look for?

Curious to know what you look for in your next watch?

Is it colour, brand, general aesthetic?

Hmm. Pretty tough question cause there are so many watches out there.

Im trying to safe up for a rolex. But with these prices its just not feasible at the moment.
My Grandfather and Father wore a Rolex their entire life (GMT and DJ). I would love to add to that and give their rolex's aswell as mine to my kids one day. Maybe a Sub or a OP. Times is going to tell. U lookin for something right now?

Always looking for another watch! Quite new to watch collecting so it is difficult to narrow down options.

Really like the look of the Speedmaster professional and a few Grand Seiko's.

I browse, I prowl the internet looking at watches, I tend to gravitate away from dress watches, for me they don’t interest me one bit, but anything else is in peril.
sometimes I just see one that causes my eyebrows to raise up and it’s in the danger zone. much research follows.

Now I’ve had some classics, the Omega Speedmaster etc, I currently own a Rolex Sub and a Doxa  which are my best two, but I tend to keep purchases after those to the sub £2000 level.
it’s each to his/her own as far as I’m concerned, whatever floats your boat and all the very best with it. I’m more than comfortable wearing a £50 watch if I like it and find it interestin, I like the fact that when the attraction wears off, you can sell and boost the coffers for the next purchase, I enjoy selling as well.

It's a combination of factors. A few top factors for me would be aesthetic, movement, and points of differentiation (e.g. something which differentiates the watches from other watches).

There's no single factor for me that applies to every purchase or prospective purchase, but it usually has at least ONE of the points of consideration above being the main consideration.
