When “not a bracelet” is a bracelet

I don’t normally wear watches on bracelets, my SKX013 is the execption to the rule.

My twins are in 3K and one of the 3K teachers has been making ”friendship bracelets” out of playdoh for my son.

The downside of the playdoh bracelets is they often dry up and disintegrate. When that happens, a meltdown often follows.

Today, while on the way to his twin sister’s ballet class, his bracelet broke on the subway. I picked up the pieces of playdoh from the floor of the subway car (this is love) and tried to re-form it on his wrist.

It didn’t work. Meldown activated.

When we got to the ballet class, he was still in meltdown. Unable to console him, I took off my watch, put it on his wrist and said “bracelet.”

He started to calm down.

I think that is a parenting win for me today.

The watch: Timex S1 Galli, 38mm on a Colareb strap.

When I want a new watch I make myself a playdough bracelet and show it to my wife. When it breaks I make sure my wife notices that and I start a meltdown. I do not stop until the new watch is paid and comes to me. Works every time.
