That’s not even a Seiko movement in there. It’s a Chinese movement with unknown base architecture.

I have a feeling that this will land on the other side of 40mm so whether I get this or not wil depend on thickness and L2L.

It would be very Seiko to make this a 44mm x 14mm monstrosity.

Looking at this side by side next to a pic of a MM200 GMT, I don’t think this would be any bigger than 41mm. The 24 hour bezel is much thinner than a dive bezel.

I have a hunch that this is real because the strap looks like your typical crappy Seiko leather strap.

The listings I found (since taken down) stated 39.5mm like the current compass Alpinists.
Don't miss the black dial SPB379 either. 6R54 and 39.5mm diameter for these. October release. I don't know the thickness though. SBP377 is the blue dial model.
I believe the bracelet model is SPB409J1. I don't know the model of the strap version. That looks very much like a President style bracelet, which is intriguing! I'd love to put that on the black or blue dial models. I have an Uncle Straps President style bracelet on my SPB089, which is on my wrist as I type.

Just took a long lunch to talk with my local Seiko AD.
Multiple colorways with a white limited edition which will come with bracelet and strap. Leather strap for all other colorways.
Limited Edition will run around $1300 usd. All others around $1100. Which is what I expected.

That sounds about right. I had seen a 1200 Euro price for the SPB379 blue dial model. Thanks for the added info! I guess the pic above is for the same watch, just showing both strap and bracelet option on the limited edition model.
