My SNK809 Has Found A New Home ๐Ÿ

I'm back. I don't know why, but I had an itch in the back of my mind that only a new watch purchase can scratch. But a new purchase means removing one from my collection. And I chose to sell my SNK.

It was my first automatic watch and arguably the watch that truly got me invested in them. It wasn't an easy watch to sell not only for that reason, but also because it's a watch I've worn quite often.

But I had to keep my watch collection limited, and I was ready to sell it. Luckily, I got to sell it to a kid who presumably purchased his first automatic watch. So I'm actually rather content ๐Ÿ˜Š. That means I finally get to purchase another watch, and I hope I don't have to say this again any time soon ๐Ÿ™.

The dial and the blasted case of the SNK809 were iconic. The Achilles Heel of the SNK809 was the 7s26 movement.

I still have one and it sit with in my main watch box. I had it for a long time and still goes strong. I think I bought it new for around $60.

Yeah, the 7s26 only makes sense if it's your ONLY watch. Otherwise, you'll eventually find yourself feeling really self conscious doing the seiko shake every night just to keep the watch going.
