What time source do you typically use to set your watch?

I'm a complete accuracy nerd and it's the NIST atomic clock for me. ๐Ÿค“

Or one of my Satellite GPS watches. I have the atomic clock app on my phone, quick and easy to do.

I want my watch to be accurate by the second. I use time.is to have the most accurate time possible

By the way, I don't understand how anyone can find a non hacking movement acceptable

Mainly the smartphone, although the microwave is a close second.

I assume you are referring to automatic/mechanical movements. Unless the watch has 100% accuracy, having it accurate down to the second is redundant. Micromanagement is not fun. Although I see how some jobs and activities require extreme accuracy.

I have a mechanical watch but it stays accurate enough at around 1-2 seconds a day

I use my phone but not the clock, I use the Toolwatch app:

You can also use it to measure and keep track of accuracy of a watch collection
