I JUST BOUGHT A SEIKO 9433
So I’ve been circling a gold watch for a long time to be part of the current collection. I’ve looked at the PRX PVD Gold with the textured dial. I looked for a Citizen Tsuyosa all gold that doesn’t exist.
I’m from Jersey. I like The Sopranos. And watching Tony with his gold Day/Date on just gets me going. Do I look like Tony Soprano? Absolutely not. I’m 5’-8” and half Filipino. But every now and then I just wanna throw on a polo with a band at the bottom and a gold chain and watch on.
Low and behold the algorithm starts feeding me the Seiko 9433. I knew nothing about this watch (still kinda don’t), but I’m on a vintage kick right now. The gold cap, the textured dial. This watch is as gaudy as it gets. AND I FUCKING LOVE IT. Don’t forget this whole grand quartz thing? Some sort of special quartz movement that’s better than other quartz movements?!? 🫠🫠🫠
I’ve been looking at them for month or so now waiting to see if the right one was gonna hit eBay. Today a near mint one with original bracelet showed up. I went for it.

Excellent watch choice!
I don't know if you are aware, but this quartz watch is even thermocompensated. For the time (and also today) the watch runs extremely accurately. It is also ingenious that the second hand jumps to the next index when you pull the crown to set the watch.
You are sure to have a lot of fun with this.
I have a similar one (a slightly inferior model) and am always amazed at how comfortable it is to wear.
