“New” Orient Watch

Its new! Its a Watch! This is your alert!

TLDR: I will not be buying it.

I mean it‘s ok? I like the dial. I like the case. I like the colors. All of the things together are not my favorite. It is designed to look like a sort of mish mash of a few of their historic models and take some queues from other watches of the 60s and 70s. Which seems like a good idea on paper. Execution is questionable.

I think if they had gone for a super compressor with more typical lugs it could have been great. The cushion case with it, while maybe a new combination, does not look right to me. Had they gone for a cushion case with a more dressy dial or simply skipped the bezel and called it a field watch I could have gotten on board. I dunno. What do yall think.

Its a bit big for me but, that bezel just isn't working, and the huge logo in all that goings-on  that doesn't help at all.

And why a fluted bezel for a crown rotated bezel?
