Aaah I think you've not given it much of a chance. I bought the black version but upgraded the case with an SKX-MOD, JnK end links and a 22mm 2 tone silicone watch strap. Greatly improved it i reckon.
I dont know if this will be helpful, but I have a Pagani Design bracelet on my San Martin and it fits really well. Its very good quality to be honest I was quite surprised, solid end links and screw pins. Purchased through Ali Express think it was about £30 . You can also buy separate unbranded clasps.

I'm going to have a double domed crystal and a RADO crown fitted along with a new bracelet. The price was very reasonable so I think it warrants a bit more money spending on it to make it mine.
Ah thank you, that makes me feel a little more confident with the watch. I had read that if the dial didn't have "Swiss Made" at the 6 o'clock position, its probably a fake. The Anchor logo does move as it should so I felt happy it was a genuine dial.
