Well, let's be honest... it's fauxtina! Though, I do have to credit Breitling for, literally, just busting out the old diagrams and recreating the 1953 watch. Of course, they put in new materials, modern B09 movement, etc., but otherwise, everything about the watch conforms to the 1953 blueprints, from what I understand. Even down to the tinny, godawful, rattily bezel! It feels like something out of a Cracker Jack box. But, apparently, they made it according to spec, and according to Fred Mandelbaum, THE vintage Breitling collector, that's precisely how cheap the 1953 watch's bezel feels! 😜

I do not mind fake/faux when is done right. Also something about aviation chronos especially the ones with vantage looks are awesome.
My Damasko DS30 on a Nick Mankey strap. one thing I love about a pilots watch is how legible they can be - this one certainly is! Only 39mm but I can read it across a room!

Man.. Take the pic away LOL. That's what I'm missing in my collections a German pilots watch Sinn, Damasko, Hanhart, Laco etc. I still have not made up my mind. I love the clean dial and strap combo!
Got the Alpina as well ;) I rarely ever wear it because it‘s rose gold but when I do I‘m always impressed by the quality for the money, especially the AR on the crystal!
Great watch! just throw a nato strap and wear it. I always dress up and dress down my watches. I wear my presage on regular days on a nato.
A few different styles for whatever reason I have.
Like the kids say Bruh! Citizen has some amazon pilots watches! I personally would have a whole watch box full of Citizen Pilots watches. Their nighthawks, Skyhawks and avion line are on point. Especially the new titanium vintage line.
I have been looking at San Martin and Merkur pilots how is the quality of both? they look great especially the chrono.
I don't have experience with the Merkur. The San Martin is very well-done. I adjusted the YN55 until it gains about 5 seconds per week when I wear it constantly. Seems like a nice movement. I believe it's an Epson so it should be robust. I hope. This watch is a keeper.
There are sharp edges such as the inside of the lugs. Very sharp. They don't impact wearing it for me but that puts some people off. 10 minutes would be all it would take to take the edge off but I kinda like it. I would put San Martin and Escapement Time level on quality. Both very nicely done with beautiful detailing. Brushing is excellent, polish, what little there is, is flawless. These watches are better than they should be.
I'm cheating and posting this twice today. Recent pick up from LIW, Aristo 5H100 38.5mm. Titanium case, SW-200 movement. Lume is amazing as is legibility. I'm enjoying it a lot.

Cool alpina! I really like their new 40. Version of this watch. My two pilot watches are not your classic fliegers.

I love both watches especially the green navitimer 8. I found a Seiko that has a mix of the classic navitmer and navitimer 8 and a rotating bezel.

SEIKO PROSPEX SKY SRPB61K1. It was an Asia market only I think Thailand. You can snag one for 300-400 but it comes on a leather strap.

What a watch! Wow 10 yrs! how much is the maintenance on a high end watch like IWC?

I have never maintained this. I think this is a ETA movement, so pretty cheap and easy to service.

Don’t mind the reflection of the clouds in the crystal. The dial is a beautiful black finish.
