CW 63 Sealander Dragonfly Blue

A well made good looking watch. While it is more or less a homage, I like what they did with the bracelet to separate the style a little.

I'm a big CW fan that also happens to think that their Oyster style bracelet is excellent. I'm really interested in this new style of bracelet. It's not one I'd normally find aesthetically attractive but I'm tempted to buy one to try on a number of my watches. Sometimes sticking it on something else yields a perfect match.

I like the bracket allot to be honest it's feels more complex and refined than “y link” oister style bracelets

And it's polished pretty damn nicely too boot 😆

I'm gonna get one just now, I think it's worth the experiment. I've a C63 Atoll that I think will look great on it.

It’s a pretty watch. If I was still buying with abandon, I’d have this one in an instant.

As for homage, yes, it takes its cues from an archetype. Most modern watches do. Even MB&F is basically a redux of Breguet. All good.

I think about this watch a lot. I love the color and that it looks like a mash up of an explorerII and a Milgaus. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet because I want to try a CW on before buying. I keep my eyes open for a used one around. But I may throw down on a Bel Canto soon no mater the ability to try one or not.
