Latest addition

Longines Conquest 39mm. Absolutely made up to have pulled the trigger on this one. Tremendous value for the money with a cheeky discount, even better.

Given the now disappointing expectation of under £1000 Seiko watches, Longines are absolutely killing it at the same price point.

The conquest is sporty, dressy (polished bezel, polished centre links), beautiful case back, signed crown (c'mon Seiko...), sapphire crystal with several coats of AR on the underside, 300m water resistance, 64 HR power reserve and quality ETA movement. Bravo Longines, Bravo! 👏👏👏

You're welcome. I had been researching this for a while but my local AD's only had the 41mm both in store and nationally. I purchased mine from CW Sellors.

Thank you. Just out of curiosity, did the bracelet have microadjustments?

No micro adjustment but trial and error with the half links has done the job. Not perfection, but close 😁

Great looking watch. 😀

Congratulations! Very nice and clean design watch. The buckle is by most Longines watches a weak part. But at the end if you adjust the bracelet for your needs, no adjustments are needed. Is very similar as the Rolex Explorer.

Fantastic choice, I actually prefer this over the hydro.

One problem I have with the Conquest is the painted numerals on the black version and no lume on the others. Wish they made it more consistent - preferably applied hour markers with lume - like in the VHP.

However, the black dial Conquest (no-lume versions would be a no-no for me) has really good specs for the money. All the newer L888s all have a Silicium hairspring, and in a 300m WR case it's really a durable watch. Maybe not exactly the black tie thing, but I can definitely see it working with smart casual/reasonably elegant outfits just as easily as with swimming trunks.

Couldn't agree more ref applied markers/lume compromise. Whilst I do think it's worthy of a suited look, I prefer a more classic look for formal wear.

This watch is absolutelty beautiful. I've had it for over 3 months and I still love it like it's the first day. I recently tried leather and nato and it's a new honey moon

Hey Fabien, I'd be interested to see some pics of your watch on NATO and leather 👍
