Seiko SARB003 vs. Citizen JDM NB1050

It's unfortunate that #seiko canceled the #sarb line as they were great spec'd watches and I considered buying one. Unfortunately, the SARB was one of many popular watch models (another being the SKX) given the axe by Seiko and it was the beginning of the company's "limited edition" strategy. However, this is a very good comparison video that objectively compares the SARB033 with the #citizen JDM NB0150.

I would say the citizen is even better than the sarb. It has the „better“ movement and is available in more dial colors.

Beautiful blue dial. 💙

I think an even better watch was the Citizen NB1041 collection. Though sadly they were discontinued about a year or two ago. The bracelet on these were nicer (5 link with both polished and brushed) than what was on the NB1050 (3 link brushed).

I’ve owned the Nb1050 and currently have the NB1060, great watches! As mentioned, the 9000-series Citizen movement is superior, but of course the SARB is a true classic.

Not having watched the video you posted it’s worth to mention that the lugs and end link extend quite a lot further on the NB than on the SARB, so they wear quite differently even though they have a similar diameter

Happy with mine!
