Where to buy a watch strap.

I have my first project watch that I’m trying to service myself. The lug width is only 16mm. I think this would look good on a nato strap and wonder if anyone could suggest a place for me to find something for it. Please recommend.

I’d suggest a slightly different approach. For this watch, have you considered the Marine Nationale stretchy type strap? I think that style would suit the watch.

I’m not aware of this type. Can you show me one?

Google to the rescue. I found them.

I don't think MN stuff even goes down to 18mm. You want exotic hide.

I'd say to just get NOS vintage from ebay. Or an expansion band like a Speidel. Or something new from ofrei.com

18 mm was the smallest MN I could find. I did like the style though.

For other opinions on those straps, I believe I’ve seen Just One More Watch and Urban Gentry have them in videos. Might be hard to find specific ones though.

Got time? Ali express

No time? Go prime

Crown and Buckle and Marathon have 16mm options.

CWC might.

You could also just notch an 18mm and make it work. It's not that hard with a sharp knife/skissores and a flame producing instrument for sealing.

Forstner as well.

Or go vintage Bonklip from the bay.

Mostly on line and rest maybe maybe a local watch stop or walmart.
