Some cool old Omegas I got to see at a local pawn shop today.

Got to try these on an talk about “top” heavy. Did not ask about price nor model specifics but I believe they both have the caliber 1040. They are not yet for sale as they have a mandatory waiting period but they know I like watches so they showed them to me.

I do not think they are for me as I did not care for the fit but the were cool to check out.

Couple of gem 💎 there. Not sure why we don’t see more of these around. Had the Lemania version 1341. One day I’ll get the Lemania 5100.

Cheers 🍻

It was my favorite of the two for sure md the most wearable in my opinion. It is a hefty watch to be sure. It will be interesting to see what they end up being offered for and how long they take to sell one they are allowed to be sold.

For me it was the wearability of them that would keep me from them. The one on the right in particular was really a THICK watch that definitely will not slide under a cuff.

The Omega Mark 4.5 would be the best option imo.

The speedmaster 125 has the wrong crystal or the inner painted tachymeter has been removed. The dial and the rest of the watch are in good shape though.

That seems to be a more subtle case than the one on the left and definitely no wear as thick as the one one the right. If they had had yours I might have asked more more information on it, My wallet is happy they did not 🤣

The Speedmaster 125 I am guessing from this feedback is the one on the left. Now that you point that out it does make it look just a tad odd and it would look better if corrected.

If the one on the right was in my price range I would gladly pick it up and have it overhauled, still a Beautiful watch

If it is still there next time I stop by I will see what they are asking for it.

Yeah no problem.

I thought the Brew was an original design. Well, you live and learn...

Very cool indeed, old chap! Pip-pip! 🐝

You never know, the brew could still be “original” as the designer may have never seen these. You go back to vintage watches and they did some wild things with design.
