Should WatchCrunch have a badge for Towson Watch Vompany

I think WatchCrunch should have a badge for Towson Watch Company, a Maryland watch maker that designs and finishes its watches in Maryland.

Why not. They have a badge for everything else.

I know we have a few people on here who own at least one. I myself own two.

Except I don’t think there’s one for Stowa?

@SimonB @Robcollects @TheTimeBum @TheTownWatch @nicely let’s see if we can help get WatchCrunch to create a badge for Towson Watch Co.

I think we all should stand up for brands we like, particularly if they have been around for some time. Towson Watch Company has been around since 1998.

I sent in a badge suggestion from the badge page. I also put up a poll to draw attention to the effort.

Well all, here’s my first, won’t be my last. Well finished watches, good local company.

78% voted “who?” Just my opinion but for a forum that is Entirely dedicated to watch collectors/enthusiasts I would think at least one quarter would have heard of them. Very surprising but I guess if you don’t get your watch on any of the cheesy reviews on YouTube then the average enthusiast isn’t interested. I’m sure if the English or Italian guy or whatever he claims to be with the dinosaur featured a Towson Watch then pretty much eighty percent of this forum would be such big fans because someone on YouTube said these are awesome watches. I don’t actually watch the noblesse oblige guy (mainly because he has no idea what noblesse oblige is) so if by chance he has had a Towson watch on there please forgive me. I doubt they give away watches though so most reviewers probably aren’t interested. Teddy might have featured one but he also proudly sells watches so people don’t seem to trust him as much. At any rate I think they are great American luxury watches. 🌈

I know @TheTimeBum has featured them on his blog, and was one of the places I had read about them when I found them search about American micro-brands. I know they have also participated in and plan to be at The Districf Time Show (https://www.dcwatchshow.com). I think the biggest YouTube channel they have been on is WatchChris.

Interesting fact about them, they have serviced Abraham Lincoln’s pocket watch for the Smithsonian. https://interwatches.wordpress.com/category/watchmaker-thomas-towson-watch-company/
