Hello

Hello new here, this is my Casio F-108WH. Had this watch for about four months now, got it as something cheap that I wouldn’t mind getting damaged, with reasonable water resistance to wear when swimming on holiday. This watch has gone above and beyond what I wanted it for and has kickstarted my obsession for watches, I now have a wish list of at least 15 watches (some of which are other Casios) hopefully I’ll start getting a bit of a collection together soon.

Welcome and Enjoy! I like the blue = very bold. Every collection needs a good G Shock aka Casio or two!

This would be so much blander in black. It looks like you're running the hourly chime. I totally approve of all of this. But I'm almost positive that this is not really meant to stand up to swimming. It probably will for a while, but it's really more splashproof.

Thank you, yes I really like that it’s all blue, you don’t see that often, usually just hints here and there. I’ve definitely got my eye on a couple of G Shocks too.

Yes, I like the hourly chime feature, helps if you’re prone to getting distracted from tasks (I am) makes you think “Has it really been an hour already”.

I was very surprised by how water resistant it really is, went snorkeling at the beach while on holiday a few times, one day I was out there for 2 hours, I had the watch on the entire time.

Welcome to WC (I’m assuming you’re new).  That’s a nice watch, I like the color and that it’s a little less bulky than a G Shock. I think you’ll find that most of us can point to a watch that got us interested in watches in general. Each person’s story is unique, but there are certainly similarities. For me it was a solar Seiko which I got because I didn’t want to change batteries anymore. After a few years I realized the size/shape of it bothered me and started looking for a replacement...and here we are. I’m looking forward to seeing what else you decide to get. Cheers.

Thank you, yes I am new here. I made an account a few days ago and have been enjoying reading some discussions. Then I thought I’d join in and make a post.

Yes, I’m quite interested in getting something solar too, one in my ”wish list” though is an automatic Seiko 5 for the same reason, no battery, that and the reasonable price and display case back.

That’s a great place to start. I replaced my Seiko solar with a Seiko SKX.
