First time using Chrono24

I am looking to get my first Panerai Luminor PAM00177 to be shipped to the US.

But the listings I see mostly do not have any escrow payment option but direct to seller. Also the return policy is up to the seller.

Is this the norm for Chrono24 or should I avoid buying without these security options?

Also helpful if a seller is from outside US and need to ship to US, will that incur an additional import tax?

Yeah, taxes are a possibility.

For me the escrow system is one of the main building blocks of buyers protection. I wouldn't even consider anything without it. But thats just me.

Thanks for quick reply, yeah was hesitant on that. Guess will keep looking.

That’s unusual. I’ve bought from Chrono24 many times and the funds always go into escrow and are not released until the buyer confirms receipt of the watch. I wouldn’t be buying it without that. Especially knowing how many Panerai fakes are out there.

Especially as these are dealers and not private sellers, not using escrow is weird. The dealer reviews range from 4.7 - 4.9 though. So a bit confused if they are trustworthy.

Very strange. I have just looked at some of the Panerais listed on Chrono24 and the vast majority of them have escrow in their listing.

Ok found out why I did not have escrow security. It is because of my account location being in China. When I changed it to Australia or US the option is enabled. Must be something to do with the banking limitations.
