2024 Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
On my 40th birthday, in January of this year, I received an incredible surprise: a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona with a striking black face. As I unwrapped the box, my heart raced with excitement, and when I saw the iconic timepiece, its elegance and prestige left me speechless. Strapping it onto my wrist, I felt a sense of empowerment and sophistication wash over me.
Every glance at its sleek black dial reminded me of the milestone moment and the thoughtfulness of my SA. It was more than just a watch; it was a symbol of achievement and timeless style. In theory I would agree. In practice OP was given the option between a watch or 5000$ instant cash should he decide to flip it. If a stranger gave me that kind of money, I would probably be speechless too 😉
Nice watch, I think that especially the black dial variant looks really nice with the metal ring and thinner ceramic bezel.

Hence the scenario of me walking into a random AD on a Friday afternoon, handing them 16k on a credit card and then walking out with 28k on my wrist. I would be surprised too!
In reality the amount of time and effort that went into making this come to fruition took over four+ years of follow up, weekend trips to the mall “relationship building”, over 100k spend history in random jewelry and introducing others to your SA to bleed them dry over this sickening game of watch collecting. It’s the chase and the ride for me. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

By the way, I didn’t mean to seem like I depreciate your watch in any way. This is one of my favorite modern Daytonas. The other one is the white gold bezel, blue dial one. I don’t really like the panda, for some reason.
